Shira Hollinger

Born in Hong Kong, Shira Hollinger is a global citizen with a global outlook. She has traveled widely and has family in three countries: Canada, the United States and Scotland. Shira takes great pride in her music and writing. She plays in a number of orchestras and chamber groups and has published poetry and stories in various newspapers and magazines. She is the editor of THINK magazine, a magazine for teens, which she launched and for which she writes. Shira is 13 and entering grade 9. She is deeply interested in the environment, serving as secretary to Sustainable Orono, a transition town group, and working as a Junior Master Gardener in a number of community gardening projects, including Plant a Row for the Hungry. She is being raised as a Baha'i and will enroll in the faith when she is 15
